Local Passion. Global impact.

In 2010, Kiwanis International launched The Eliminate Project:

Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus.

in partnership with UNICEF, Kiwanis' global campaign for children wil eliminate a disease that kills one baby every nine minutes.

the organization is also working to raise US$110 million by the end of 2015. Kiwanis clubs are playing a part--with service projects and fundraising activities.

It's the kind of opportunity that enriches the Kiwanis experience. And it's the kind of local focus that makes a world of difference.

Member Mark Sedlacek receives the Kiwanis International Foundation's Hixson Award for the club's donation of $1,000.00 to the Foundation's World-Wide Service Project- ELIMINATE at the club's May 20th meeting. Mark joins Ed and Sandy Wiemers, previous Hixson Award recipients, Brent Watson, a Presidential Zellar Award recipient and Beverly Laramie, a Zellar Award recipient since the project started in 2010.
