Founded in 1915, the Kiwanis family now includes:

As a Kiwanian, you are part of a global organization of members who volunteer their time and dedication and help point the way toward the future.

The Kiwanis Club of Glen Carbon is the local club of the Kiwanis International organization. Kiwanis International is divided into several Districts around the world. The Illinois Eastern Iowa District is divided into divisions and the Glen Carbon club is in Division 31 along with clubs in Alton-Godfrey, Bethalto, Bunker Hill, Edwardsville, Highland, Jerseyville, Maryville and Wood River. There are Key Clubs at Collinsville and Edwardsville High Schools and a Circle K Club at SIUE.

 

The Objects of Kiwanis International

These principles have guided Kiwanians' work since 1924.

 

  • To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

  • To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relatioships.

  • To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.
